Meet The Team

DR. Mel McEvoy M.B., B.A.O., D.C.H., D.O.Bs., M.R.C.G.P.
UCD Graduate, training in the Mater Hospital, Temple Street, National Maternity Hospital and then GP training in the UK and Canada. She set up practice in 1992 on Collins Avenue. She is very interested in ‘Best Practice’. Over the years she was involved in the ongoing education of the local network of G.P as a tutor. She is now a lecturer in General Practice in UCD and in RCSI for their undergraduate training programmes. She recently completed the musculoskeletal diploma course in sports medicine ICGP. She is very interested in mental health and women’s health.

Dr. Kerry O’Connell MB, BCh, BAO, MICGP, MPCPI Paeds, DCH, LFOM
Kerry graduated from UCD in 2000. He then travelled to Australia where he worked in the Royal Brisbane hospital for 1 year. On his return he specialized in Paediatrics and spent 3 years working between Temple street hospital and The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin. He completed his specialist exams in Paediatrics in 2006. He continues to have a great interest in child health.
In 2006 he started a 4 year training programme in General Practice in The Royal College of Surgeons and completed his professional exams in 2009. During his training he developed an interest in Occupational medicine and completed the Licenciate of The Faculty of Occupational Medicine in 2012.
Since completing his training in General practice Kerry has also developed in interest in Minor Surgery, he completer the Irish College of General Practitioners Minor Surgery course in 2012 and does regular surgical procedures in the Collins Avenue and Baldoyle surgeries.

Administration Team
Our administration team are here to help in any way they can. This dedicated team aim to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice, providing assistance to patients , dealing with phone messages, making appointments, repeat prescriptions and general queries. They place high importance on patient confidentiality and strive to make your visit to the practice as stress free as possible.
