Minor Surgery
Dr. Kerry O’Connell does regular Minor Surgery clinics in both Collins Avenue and Baldoyle Clinics.
Most procedure take between 20 and 40 minutes and are done under local anaesthetic. These procedures include:-
Removal of Moles and suspicious skin lesions.
Excision of Skin Cysts.
Excision of Skin Tags.
Excision of Ingrown Toe-nails.
Incision and drainage of abcess.

Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is the removal of skin lesions by freezing to a very low temperature. It is relatively painless procedure but we will rarely use it in children under the age of 6-7 years of age, it is commonly used for treatment of the following:-
Warts + Verrucas
Skin tags
Seborrheic Keratosis – age related skin lesions.
Actinic Keratosis
Some early skin cancers.

If you have a skin lesion you are worried about please book in to see Dr O’Connell and he will be able to advise you on the appropriate treatment. Some lesions will not be suitable for treatment in the surgery, in which case you will be referred on as appropriate.
